1. CME: Continuing Medical Education: consists of educational activities, which have the purpose of maintaining, developing or increasing the knowledge, skills and professional performance of a health care worker.

3. Educational Activity:Meetings e.g. satellite symposia, workshops, congresses, conferences Enduring materials i.e. CD Roms, Website, News, Books, Journals, etc.

4. Provider of unrestricted educational grant (known as grantor) : Third party who provides financial support either in all or part.
5. Approximately 1 hour of CME "activity" = 1 CME credit
