History

The initial objective of the EACIC was focused on developing a true European perspective on CME in CNS. This programme was initiated with the purpose of ensuring a pan-European dimension to education in CNS in order to establish methodologies for the most effective forms of CME. The objective was to develop common European educational standards, and to assist in promoting CME in CNS in all European countries.

Future EACIC activities will involve the accreditation of scientific events and achieving a pan European dimension in being recognised by national and international accreditation bodies in Europe. The objective is also to establish links with non-European systems, mainly in the United-States and Eastern European Countries.
